Tae Kwan Do

Combined martial Arts better known as Taekwondo was recently added to the sports curriculum. Kenneth Edwards, of the class of 2003 went on to become the National Champion and Jamaica's first Taekwando Olympic representative when he competed at the 2012 London Olympic Games. He won the Gold Medal in the heavyweight division of the World Cup of Taekwando in 2012 to become the first Jamaican to achieve this feat.

In 2015

  • Calabar is the 2015 Champion of the McKay/Lee Tournament
  • Calabar won 6 of 7 Tournaments in the McKay/Lee High School Division

In November 2017  They continued their dominance by attaining their 6th consecutive hold on the McKay Security Jamaica Taekwondo Association High School League.

Training Days:Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:00pm – 4:00pm on the Performing Arts Lawn.
